What format do the products come in?
Our older products are delivered mostly in PowerPoint (editable) and PDF (print-ready) formats. Our newer releases, also include editable Canva templates, giving you even more flexibility in how you customize your products.
Standard journal and planner sizes include 6×9, 8×10, and 8.5×11 inches.
Images and graphics are supplied as JPG and/or PNG files (specific details are always listed on each product sales page).
Do I need any writing Skills?
Not at all! ✨ One of the best things about low-content books and PLR templates is that they require very little writing. Most of the content is already structured for you — think journals, planners, trackers, and coloring books.
All you need to do is:
Edit the templates to match your style (fonts, colors, graphics, or prompts).
Add a personal touch if you’d like.
Publish and share them with your audience.
So even if writing isn’t your strong suit, you can still create professional, polished products quickly.
Do I need Design Skills?
Nope! We’ve done the hard work for you. All of our templates are ready-to-use, done-for-you designs created in PowerPoint and Canva. They’re high-quality, professional, and super easy to edit.
You can quickly:
Change fonts, colors, and images.
Add or remove pages.
Customize to fit your brand.
Even if you’ve never touched a design program before, you’ll be able to make these templates your own in minutes.

How can I learn how to use your products better? Do you offer any courses?
Yes! We offer our Signature Course – Createful Creating in PowerPoint, which shows you step by step how to take ideas and turn them into professional journals and planners. The course also includes a set of practice templates so you can learn hands-on.
Where can I sell the products I make?
You have lots of options for selling your finished products. Popular platforms include:
Amazon KDP – great for print-on-demand publishing.
Etsy – ideal for selling printable or physical versions.
Lulu – another option for print-on-demand publishing.
Your own website or shop – full control and no marketplace fees.
And yes, you can sell the same product across multiple platforms (for example, listing it on Amazon and Etsy). Many sellers do this to maximize visibility and reach more customers.
Tip: Just make sure you’re uploading your final products only (PDFs or print-ready files). Editable source files (like PowerPoint templates) cannot be resold.

FREQUENTLY ASKED TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
I downloaded the file but it won’t open. What should I do?
Sometimes files download in a compressed ZIP folder. Make sure you unzip/extract the folder before trying to open the templates inside.
If the issue continues, check that you’re opening the correct format (PowerPoint, Word, Canva link, PDF).
Can I recover my files if I lose them?
Yes! Just log back into your membership account (before Sept 2025) or your ThriveCart Customer Hub (after Sept 2025) to re-download your purchases anytime.
Do I need special fonts to use your templates?
Most templates use free fonts you can download online. Font names (and links if applicable) are listed in the product Help File or description. You can also substitute with any font you prefer.
The colors or images look blurry when I print. How do I fix this?
Make sure you’re exporting to PDF at 330 dpi (see our FAQ on preventing image compression).
Also double-check your printer settings are set to Best Quality instead of Draft.
Can I edit your templates in Google Slides or Keynote?
Our templates are designed for PowerPoint and Canva. Some users open them in Google Slides or Keynote, but certain formatting or fonts may not display correctly. For best results, we recommend PowerPoint or Canva.
My Canva template says the link is invalid. What should I do?
This usually happens if the link wasn’t copied correctly or if you’re not logged into your Canva account. Try again while logged in. If the issue persists, contact us and we’ll resend your link.
How can I prevent image compression when exporting my PowerPoint file to PDF?
To keep your images crisp when exporting from PowerPoint:
Go to File > Export > Create PDF/XPS Document.
Click Options.
Make sure to uncheck the box for Document structure tags for accessibility.
Under resolution, choose 330 dpi instead of High Fidelity.
This will give you a high-quality PDF without unnecessary compression, ensuring your graphics and images stay sharp.
Can I mix templates from different products? What about templates from other sellers?
Yes! You can absolutely combine templates to make your journals, planners, and printables unique.
In PowerPoint, you can use the “Reuse Slides” feature to pull in pages from other templates (either from Createful Journals products or even products you’ve purchased from other PLR sellers).
This is a fantastic way to:
Build larger products quickly.
Mix and match styles.
Create completely new products from existing content.
Pro Tip: Combining elements from different templates is one of the easiest ways to make your products stand out from others using the same PLR.
Do you have a video showing how to download and use the fonts in your templates?
Yes! We’ve created a step-by-step video tutorial to guide you through the process of downloading and installing the fonts used in our templates, and how to apply them correctly.
Watch it here
This quick walkthrough will help ensure your templates look exactly as designed.
I purchased a set of templates, but when I open them in PowerPoint I see the message: “Presentation cannot be edited because it contains restricted fonts.” Do the fonts come with the product? How can I edit the file?
This message simply means that the original template was saved with embedded fonts. You don’t need the restricted font to edit the file — here’s how to fix it:
Open the template in PowerPoint.
Go to File > Options > Save.
Scroll down to the section for Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation.
Uncheck the option for Embed fonts in the file.
Click Save.
Now you can replace the embedded fonts with any fonts installed on your computer — or choose your own to customize the look.
Tip: If you’re looking for the exact font used in a template, check the product listing or Help File, as many of our products note the font names so you can download them (if free) or substitute with something similar.
